Overview

The Lille community heating system outputs maximum heat power of 135,000 kW, which comes from various sources:

  • One 45,000 kW gas turbine, running in winter
  • Three 13,000 kW gas-fired boilers
  • One 40,000 kW coal-fired boiler
  • Two decentralized gas-fired boilers


Because it uses different heat sources, using different fuels, the system is highly flexible and reliable.
